Four local wineries are playing host to the Campbell Valley Wine Run this weekend.

Come out and watch – or take part. The nearly 15-km route starts at High Point Equestrian Centre in Langley, winding through park trails and stopping in at host wineries for refreshments along with way.

Runners in costumes will be stopping in at Vista d'Oro Farms and Winery, Domaine de Chaberton Estate Winery, Township 7 Vineyards and Winery, and Backyard Vineyards.

Proceeds are in support of two charities, Critter Care Wildlife Society and the Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities.

The Sept. 22 run is the first of what organizers hope will be an annual event.

Register on the day of the run between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. The run starts at 9 a.m. Prizes for best costumed individual, team, and best surviving costume.
