About 35 students from Surrey high schools worked alongside those from SFU, UBC and the American Educational Research Association Graduate Student Council last week in painting a 65-foot public mural as part of the Surrey: Take it to the Wall anti-racism initiative at SFU Surrey.
The students worked in teams, each painting one of five four-by-eight-foot aluminum panels.
Once complete, the mural will be installed in a location to be determined by the Surrey’s Parks, Recreation and Culture department.
