PHOTOS: Car-enthusiasts unite for White Rock Sea Festival and Semiahmoo Days Car Show

White Rock Sea Festival and Semiahmoo Days ran the last weekend of July, concluding on Sunday

A jam-packed weekend of Sea Festival and Semiahmoo Days celebrations in White Rock brought out thousands of people to enjoy family-friendly activities and entertainment along the waterfront.

Celebrations kicked off Friday night (July 29) with a movie night under the stars in Semiahmoo Park, with the showing of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Saturday began with an opening ceremony with Semiahmoo First Nation Chief Harley Chappell addressing the city, along with Mayor Darryl Walker.

Whether it was light-hearted merriment or educational-fun, there was something for everybody during the last weekend of July.

Many attractions suitable for people of all ages took place Saturday and Sunday, including a petting zoo, Semiahmoo First Nation’s traditional salmon BBQ, a bouncy castle, a photo booth, henna tattoos, a pirate show and contest, live entertainment, and a vendor market.

While some were achieving their zen at the yoga event in Memorial Park on Sunday morning, nearly a thousand people were taking in a car show at Semiahmoo Park.

White Rock’s Got Talent, presented by SFN, was enjoyed on multiple days, with performances by talented local artists.

Both the Spirit Stage at Semiahmoo Park and the Memorial Park Stage were alive with music of many different genres as well as shows for children.
