Crescent Beach event displayed the work of 24 artists July 1

The Bayview Arts Collective held its second annual Canada Day Makers’ Market in Crescent Beach July 1.

Displays were set up all along Bayview Street – a whole line of tents next to the train tracks, plus in the residences of stained glass artist Deb Swartz and acrylic painter Karin Olsson.

Contributors, who showed work ranging from paintings, to pottery and stained glass, also included oil painter Anne Morrison (her guitarit husband Jim was half of the duo supplying live music for the event), and ceramic artist Sherry Johansson.

Organizers said Monday they were very gratified by both attendance and response to the work presented, leaving the door open for a repeat of the event in July of 2022.
