Travel back to ancient Greece with a historical fiction and travel writer, learn the secrets of a healthy Mediterranean lifestyle, or take a guided tour of Surrey’s oldest cemetery later this month at one of the Surrey Museum’s upcoming adult sessions.

Armchair Travellers: Greek Myths and Muses, presented Saturday, July 21 from 1-2 p.m., takes visitors on a journey with author W. Ruth Kozak from the sacred city of Delphi to the vineyards of the lyric poet Sappho in search of the heroes of Greek history. The session is for ages 16 and up. The cost is $6.

In Long Live The Greeks, also on July 21, author Harry Mouratides will reveal some of what he’s learned after travelling to 10 Greek “longevity villages” filled with fit, healthy and active nonegenarians. This is a special reading and discussion of his book. It runs from 3 to 4 p.m., July 21. Ages 16 years and up. The cost is $7.
