It’s a Christmas classic and a time-honoured Cloverdale tradition that’s set to screen for another year.
The Clova Cinema presents The Polar Express, Saturday, Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. – one show only.
The 2004 animated feature tells the story of how a boy’s faith in the wonder of life is rewarded one Christmas Eve when a magical steam engine pulls up outside his house and takes him on a mysterious, thrilling journey to the North Pole, home of Santa’s workshop.
It’s adapted from an illustrated children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg and is breathtaking on the big screen, like a storybook brought to life.
The Polar Express is directed by Robert Zemeckis and features the voice of Tom Hanks.
It’s rated PG and may frighten young children.
