In The Style Of
Explore historic social trends of the 20th century and the way major fashion designers reflect, create and rebel against these trends through their designs, as interpreted by Kwantlen Polytechnic University students. View original pieces from iconic designers like Yves St. Laurent and Jean Paul Gaultier, from fashion historian Ivan Sayers’ vast collection, and explore the relationship between history, fashion and personal style. Asian Story Time Series

Sheep to Shawl Competition
Cheer on local spinning and weaving teams they card, spin, and ply raw sheep’s wool into yarn, then weave a shawl, all in four hours! See demonstrations of sheep shearing; enjoy folk songs by duo Soft Focus, and try weaving on our heritage looms or spinning on real spinning wheels. Designers of the 20th Century

Kamishibai Theatre Story Time

Japanese Canadian Internment Sites
People of Japanese descent living on the BC coast were interned by the government during World War II.
