The members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6 took time out at their June 26 meeting to present donations to two worthy charities.
Cmde. Pat Keeping, Poppy Committee Chairperson, presented a $3,000 cheque to Yolanda Bouwman of the Surrey Hospital Foundation.
Another $1,000 was donated that same evening to Andrea Coogan, development officer of the B.C. Cancer Foundation's Fraser Valley Centre.
