Attention CBC lovers: With the 2015 federal election top of mind, Friends of Canadian Broadcasting are holding a meeting in Surrey this week. It's at Dublin Crossing Irish Pub at 101-18789 Fraser Highway, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 24.
The group is inviting supporters to come out to hear more about its plans to support the national broadcaster during the election. Organizers hope to launch a visible campaign in the Fleetwood-Port Kells riding in support of CBC and against further cuts to jobs and programming.
