In December 1963, these kids lined up at Duckworth’s department store in Cloverdale to have their picture taken with Santa – and tell him what they wanted for Christmas, a tradition that happily continues at Clover Square Village and elsewhere today.

Duckworth's was located at 5741 176 Avenue, in the exact building that today is home to the Cloverdale Learning Centre, a 'storefront' school that helps students set and meet their education goals.

Back in its heyday, Duckworth's also offered free gift wrapping to customers.
