Surreys Latin Festival is taking place Saturday and Sunday, July 16 & 17 at Surrey Civic Plaza.

The family friendly event features performances by musicians, food trucks, face painting and more family friendly activities. \

The annual festival has been going on for four years, and each year has a different theme. For the last two years, they have held the festival online, so this is their first year back in person.

This year’s theme was Mexico, with a tribute to Frida Khalo. Khalo is one of the most famous artists in Mexico. The event included performances by local artists, food trucks, local Mexican cuisine, dancing, face painting and more.

The event goes until 8pm tonight and tomorrow from noon to 8 p.m.
