This fall, kids can learn how to play chess Wednesdays at the Cloverdale Library.
The sessions, for children ages 8 to 12, are for beginners. There are six half-hour lessons plus 45 minutes of practice time that will teach all the basics. Attendance is mandatory at all six lessons, which run from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. at the library starting Sept. 12 and continuing to Oct. 17. Snacks included.
