The Surrey School District is planning two open houses so the public can learn more about the elementary and secondary schools being built in Clayton Heights and Grandview Heights.

An open house for the 1,500-student high school in the Grandview Heights neighbourhood near 168 Street and 25 Avenue will be held at Pacific Heights Elementary, 17148 26 Ave., on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

A second open house will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for the 605-student elementary school to be built in the Clayton Heights neighbourhood and will take place at Katzie Elementary School, located at 6887 194A St.

Both new schools are being planned to address the overcrowding and growth issues in each area.

The public is invited to drop in and speak to architects and representatives from the Surrey School District and the City of Surrey’s Parks, Recreation and Culture department.

The events will also give attendees the opportunity to see maps, floor plans and artist renderings of the schools.

If you are unable to attend either of the events, visit the PlaceSpeak online consultation platform at http://bit.ly/2iMGFDh to view resources and leave comments regarding both schools.
