Cloverdale residents invited to work out for their brain

Free workshop at the Cloverdale Rec Centre focuses on strategies for engaging and maintaining brain health

Muscles aren't the only part of you that need a regular workout.

Healthy aging is important for everyone, and it's essential to remember the health of your brain as well, according to the Alzheimer Society of B.C..

Cloverdale residents are invited to a free brain health workout this Monday (Jan. 25) at the Cloverdale Recreation Centre (6-8 p.m.). Heads Up! An Introduction to Brain Health is a workshop offering strategies for actively engaging in protecting and maintaining the brain.

Anyone interested in brain health is welcome to attend. Pre-registration is required: call 604-449-5000 or email info.southfraser@alzheimerbc.org. The workshop is presented at no cost to participants thanks to partial funding by the province of B.C., the Provincial Employees Community Services Fund, Seacliff Foundation, RBC Foundation, Phyliss and Irving Snider Foundation, and a host of other organizations, businesses, and individual donors.
