Vote for your favourite at the 17th Annual Chili Cook-off at Clover Square Village this Friday

It's definitely one of Cloverdale’s tastiest Rodeo traditions.

Sample home-cooked recipes rustled up by Cloverdale's businesses and service organizations this Friday at the 17th annual Chill Cook Off in Clover Square Village (Hwy 10 and 177B Street).

The popular event runs from 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. May 16, but be sure to get there early to sample chili rustled up by local teams, from high school culinary artists to the MLA, and don't forget to vote for your favourite.

It’s presented by Clover Square Village Merchants and the Cloverdale BIA and the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce.

There will be prize draws for Rodeo performance tickets – anyone who votes for their favourite chili will be entered in the draw.http://webpapersadmin.bcnewsgroup.com/portals/uploads/cloverdale/.DIR288/wMoreChiliPlease.jpg

Keep an eye out for the Express Clydesdales, enjoy live music by entrants in the B.C. Junior Talent Search, and sample free chili.

There will also be face-painting for the kids, and live demos by competitors in this year's World Round-up Freestyle Skateboard Competition.

The entry deadline for teams is Wednesday, May 14. For more information, call 604-576-3155 or 604-574-9802, or email cloverdalebia@telus.net.
