39th annual  Bed Races and Decorated Bike Parade

Thursday, May 19, from 6-7:30 p.m., 176A Street, between 57 and 58 Avenues. Sponsored by the Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition, the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce, Cloverdale BIA, and Elements Casino. Come watch teams race for the bed pan trophy, chamber pot and stone prize pig. First is the western themed bike parade where kids show off their creations to the crowd. 19th annual Cloverdale Chili Cook off

Friday, May 20 from 4:30-6:30 p.m., at Clover Square Village 17710 Highway 10. Amateur and professional cooks serve up chili samples in this annual contest judged. 70th annual Cloverdale Rodeo Parade

Saturday, May 21 starting at 10 a.m. in the Cloverdale Town Centre, the parade is the annual kick off event for the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair. Featuring the Express Clydesdales, and an old-fashioned community parade with floats, service clubs, vintage cars, marching bands and more. Seniors Old Time Dance

Symphonists sought

Now celebrating its 30th concert season, the Fraser Valley Symphony is seeking new members in the violin, viola and percussion sections, but also welcomes inquiries from other interested professional calibre musicians. Performing alongside world class instrumental and vocal soloist, the orchestra provides an opportunity for auditioned musicians to present a variety of music to audiences throughout the region.
