Spring Concert
The Langley Community Chorus presents its 2014 Spring Concert, Songs from the Heart. Parent Support Group for Gifted/talented
This parent support group provides an opportunity for parents of gifted children to learn more about giftedness, discuss challenges and share strategies for supporting gifted children. Some children are unusually intense and sensitive. They are rapid, curious, learners but may be bored, disruptive or underachieve. Their development, intellectual and emotional is uneven. They set very high expectations resulting in failure or upset. Sometimes they have a learning disability in addition to being gifted. The Fraser Health Crisis Line is recruiting volunteers to provide assistance to people in the region who are experiencing emotional distress. Singers wanted
Do you like to sing? if so, come and join the Silvertone Singers. It is a Seniors Community Choir and we practice on Thursdays at 1 p.m. at the Cloverdale Rec Centre at 62 Avenue and 176 Street. We sing a large variety of music and entertain at senior care homes and assisted living homes. Even though we sing our music in parts, we do not hold auditions. Everyone is welcome.
