'Truth and Reconciliation'

Surrey Little Theatre presents 'Truth and Reconciliation' by Etan Frankel, April 16 to May 16. Running Thurs. to Sat. at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees April 26, May 3 and 10 at 2 p.m. A young doctor provides medical care in Central America and gets caught up in the country’s civil unrest. 'Escape from Happiness'

Langley Players present 'Escape from Happiness,' George. F. Walker's dark, domestic comedy. Family History Mystery!

Teens and adults, join us at the Cloverdale Library Saturday, May 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For a Family History Mystery. A visiting professorA visiting professor was using Cloverdale Library’s Genealogy resources to do some local Surrey history research. Now he has disappeared!! Based on the clues he’s left behind, can you help us locate him? A fun way to learn about Cloverdale Library’s resources, we will also have some great prizes for whoever solves the mystery the quickest. Family Historians are encouraged to "bring a teen" to get them interested in genealogy. Individual registrants will be assigned a partner.

Langley Community Chorus presents its spring concert, Thank You For the Music, featuring soothing and uplifting music performed in the native languages of Russia, Spain, Zulu South Africa, Nigeria and Zambia. Auditions

The Royal Canadian Theatre Company is holding auditions for its upcoming production, Dracula, on Saturday, April 25. Callbacks are Sunday, April 26. At 17949 Roan Place, Cloverdale. Performance paid; non union. Dracula, by Balderson and Dean, will be directed by Ellie King and presented in Surrey, Vancouver and Maple Ridge in October 2015. Rehearsals in Cloverdale, in the beginning of September. This is the original 1927 Broadway play script that made Bela Lugosi a star. We are setting it in the same time period, in England. OWL Open House

Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Orphaned Wildlife Rescue (OWL), 3800-72 Street, Delta, B.C. Seventy per cent of the facility will be open to the public offering a behind-the-scenes look at our medical facility and rehabilitation cages. Awareness Walk

The Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society is a non-profit organization that helps to support BC families and individuals with Down Syndrome. As seniors, entertaining our community and giving back is part of what we do. We need some new blood in the group and Cloverdale is our base of operations. Speed Watch volunteers needed

Surrey crime Prevention Society is looking for volunteers to support the Speed Watch Program. Volunteers work with a team, tracking vehicles driving at excessive speeds in playgrounds, school zones and high-risk crash sites, and gain valuable experience. The Surrey Heritage Society is looking for volunteers to help out with the new BC Vintage Truck Museum (6022 176 Street) located on the Cloverdale Fairgrounds.
