It’s our first Ma Murray Community Newspaper Award and we are extremely proud.
Cloverdale Reporter designer Marla Poirier has won a bronze medal in the Ad Design Award, collaborative (under 25,000 circulation) category at the 2013 awards, presented by the B.C. and Yukon Community Newspaper Association.
Poirier was recognized for an ad she designed for Brickyard Medical Walk In Clinic.
The judges said: “Nice tie-in with the Brickyard. Good use of white space and quick understanding with use of stethoscope.”
The province-wide competition recognizes the best in production, publishing, reporting, editing, photography, website design and community contribution. There were nearly 2,000 entries this year.
Winners were announced April 20.
