Cloverdale’s Ivan Krcmar has received a 2013 Outstanding Manager of the Year Award from McDonald's Canada for the second consecutive year.

This award is one of McDonald’s Canada’s top honours and is presented to select restaurant managers across the country for consistent, outstanding performance. Krcmar was recognized as an integral member of the business due to his commitment to building sales, focus on customer satisfaction, development and training of staff, equipment maintenance, coordination of local marketing programs and managing local restaurant operations.

“Ivan has always gone above and beyond to provide the highest quality of service that our customers expect from McDonald’s,” said McDonald’s Cloverdale owner/operator James Harper. “He has always excelled in the area of people and commitment to help train and develop many of our future leaders. With three restaurants under his leadership in the Surrey area now, Ivan is an integral part of the team here in Cloverdale and this award is extremely well-deserved.”

Krcmar began his career at McDonald’s Canada six years ago and was a restaurant manager for the past two-and-a-half years. He was previously acknowledged for his exceptional leadership in 2012 when he was named an Outstanding Manager of the Year and was also named Outstanding Manager within his franchisee organization. Krcmar is committed to his team and enjoys helping them develop their skills. He was recently promoted to general manager, and has also recently completed his bachelor of business administration degree. Krcmar strives to own a McDonald’s franchise one day.

“It’s an honour to be recognized by the company with a national award,” said Krcmar. "At McDonald’s, we put our customers first, and I’m grateful to be recognized for the ongoing dedication to our guests my team and I strive for on a daily basis. I love my job and I’m proud to work for McDonald’s and be called a manager of the year.”

From the newest employees to senior management, McDonald’s Canada offers its employees world-class professional training and development to help teach important life skills, such as teamwork and time management, which can open the doors to endless career opportunities.
