Innovative Fitness Train the Trainer event raises $15K

Proceeds from annual fundraiser go to Peace Arch Hospital Foundation

Clients at Innovative Fitness got the opportunity to dole out a little payback to their trainers last Friday, as the Semiahmoo Peninsula fitness centre held its annual Train the Trainer fundraiser.

The event let customers purchase blocks of time – $50 for five minutes – during which they can put a trainer through whatever workout they’d like, from traditional to the ridiculous.

This year, the all-day event – held at the 15303 31 Ave. location – raised $15,315. Funds raised benefit the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation’s Healthy Community Initiative.

Overall, Innovative Fitness locations across the province raised a total of $100,000 for organizations including local food banks and family-oriented non-profit organizations and KidSport BC.
