A Co-op store will open soon in Cloverdale.
The new store is being billed as a unique offering from Co-op.
According to a media release, “Otter Co-op and Federated Co-operatives Limited are opening a first-of-its-kind, newly designed food store," in the Brick Yard Station shopping centre.
The grand opening is set for 11 a.m. on June 11.
"The Chamber is thrilled to welcome Otter Co-op to Cloverdale,” said Scotty Wheatley, executive director of the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce. “They are great community partners and they will be a welcome addition to our town.”
Jack Nicholson, Otter Co-op CEO, and Rick Fernandes, Federated Co-operatives Limited vice president, will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the store. Charlie Fox, Otter Co-op president, will also give remarks.
The store will open after the ribbon-cutting and there will be free burgers, prizes, and special offers in the store. JR Country 93.7 will be broadcasting live from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first 500 customers will also receive a coupon for a free four litre jug of milk.
The new food store is located at 17433 56th Avenue in Brick Yard Station (in the old Staples location).
