Surrey Eagles add new goaltender to nest
The Surrey Eagles made a goaltending change this week, acquiring 19-year-old Michael Santaguida from the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League.
Prior to playing in Tri-City, Santaguida, a native of Mississauga, Ont., had spent two seasons playing for Avon Old Farms prep school in Connecticut.
To make room on their roster, the Eagles released goaltender Edward Dyson, who had played three games for the Eagles this season, splitting time with Glenn Ferguson.
The Eagles have two games on tap this weekend – Friday on the road against the Coquitlam Express and Sunday at home against the visiting Chilliwack Chiefs. Sunday's game begins at 4 p.m.
