NEW: Cloverdale minor football results

The following results are from the Sept. 25 weekend games featuring teams with Cloverdale Community Football Association.

 

Bantam Division

Cloverale Leopards: 1

North Langley Bears: 18

Highlights: The highlight of the game was a 40-yard pass from quarterback Gurjot Bains to Anoop Nahal.

Jake Bracey ran for 45 yards on three carries before being injured. David Dinbandhu ran for 35 yards on kick returns and made some great tackles. Ricky Park made some great tackles including a QB sack. Carlos Alvaro had some good runs at running back.

 

Junior Bantam

Cloverdale Cougars: 6

Coquitlam Vikings: 43

Highlights: Michael Bachmeier, David Burchart and Deepak Mattu played hard on defense. Lukas Stevens made some great tackles and runs on both offense and defense.

Great 70-yard run made by Shawndeep Padda that led to a touchdown.

 

Atom Division

Cloverdale Atoms:  7

White Rock Titans: 40

Highlights: The Lions showed excellent improvement in blocking and running the ball. Cameron Butters scored the lone TD on a long run and Jakob Kaleel and Justice Fee had outstanding games as well.

 

Pee Wee

Cloverdale Lynx: 0

Westside Warriors: 39

Highlights: Jevon Chahal and Arjun Johal were on fire for making quite a few spectacular tackles. Jordan Kelly saved an on-side kick after Joshua Reed took a safety in the end zone. Jordan Kelly made a few good runs. Joshua Reed prevented three touchdowns.

 

Flag Division

Cloverdale Cheetahs: 6

White Rock Titans: 7

Highlights: In a highly defensive battle, Noah Reding, Jace Attkinson, Jamie Fuchs, Saraj Mann and Brandon Ballance were getting flags all day. Jace Attkinson completed a pass to Jamie Fuchs for a first down and Noah Reding scored a clutch touchdown on a QB keeper. It was a well played game by both teams.
