A steal of two points in the 10th end allowed Kelly Scott to advance to the final of the Scotties B.C. Women's Curling championships in Cloverdale.

Scott, the defending champion, defeated Roselyn Craig of Duncan 7-4 in the semifinal match Saturday night. The Kelowna native hed a 5-4 lead with Craig holding the hammer in the final frame.

But Sarah Wark, curling fourth for the Craig foursome, attempted to draw for one to force an extra end with her last shot , but brushed off a guard and came up short.

Craig, who was 6-3 in round robin play, defeated Kristy Lewis of Richmond earlier in the day, scoring once in the 10th end for a 7-6 victory.

Scott will take on Kelley Law of the Royal City Curling Club in today's (Sunday) championship game at 2 p.m. at the Cloverdale Curling Club. Law advanced to the final with a convincing 9-2 victory over Scott Friday night, a game which ended after seven ends.

Law also won the round robin match, scoring a 9-3 victory in eight ends last Tuesday.

The two rivals met in last year's Scotties final, with Scott taking an 8-4 decision.
