Langley’s Street Enforcement Unit (SEU) got luckier than they could have hoped when they attended a residence in the 2900 block of 240th Street recently.

On Aug. 4, officers went to a home looking for a 50-year-old man who was wanted on an arrest warrant.

While on the property, they also found a stolen vehicle in the driveway.

The vehicle, a 1998 Honda Civic, had been stolen from Surrey earlier that day. The vehicle was seized for return to its owner. Police will continue to investigate and recommend charges at a later date if there is enough evidence to support it, said Cpl. Holly Largy.

Officers were also able to locate and arrest the man, who was wanted on a warrant for assault in Abbotsford. He was taken into custody to appear in court.
