On Friday afternoon, resplendent in tiaras and – in the case of Surrey Board of Education Chair Laurae McNally, a hat – Surrey School District staff brought out the good china and sterling sliver to celebrate the royal wedding of Prince William of Wales and his bride Catherine Middleton.
The luncheon featured tea (of course) and finger sandwiches under the colourful auspices of the British flag.
William and Kate, now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, wed at Westminster Abbey in the early hours of Friday morning (local time). An estimated two billion people around the world watched the spectacle live.
