Three hurt in Surrey workplace accident

Three men were taken to hospital Monday morning after a workplace accident in Guildford.

Details were sketchy as of 1 p.m., but witnesses at the scene say a crane lifting a pallet of Styrofoam insulation somehow released its load onto two men at the site.

A third man was hurt when the load bounced and hit him.

WorkSafe BC is investigating, and confirms the three were injured, but contrary to some reports, they are not in critical condition.

More as it becomes known.
