Missing 13-year-old Surrey girl has been found by RCMP
Surrey RCMP is pleased to confirm that Subeekah Buksh, the 13 year old female youth who was reported missing on July 28th, has been located safe and sound in the care of a family member.
Surrey RCMP would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance.
Buksh, 13, lives with her uncle and was reported missing by him. Her uncle was mad at her for ringing up a huge cell phone bill while visiting friends in Calgary. It's not the first time she's run away from home.
However, police and family were concerned for her safety, given her age and the length of time she's been gone.
Throughout the period she was missing, Buksh's boyfriend said he was in contact with her and that she was texting him every day, and Surrey RCMP updated her status from missing to avoiding being found.
