School's new name announced
It's official.
Zion Lutheran School's new name is Cloverdale Christian School. The new name was unveiled last weekend during a special ceremony.
The new moniker was chosen after more than 50 years of operation under the previous name.
The decision to adopt a new name was done after focus groups revealed there was confusion about whether the school was open to students outside the church congregation.
The unveiling "went spectacularly," principal Jon Mayan said. It featured the giveaway of 200 free Christmas trees.
