In with the new at Surrey's Martha Currie Elementary
The new modular classroom at Martha Currie Elementary school should be ready for students to move in by the end of the month.
Martha Currie, located at 5811 184 Street, is also the focus of renovations in a wing of the school to provide additional classroom space.
The Surrey School District is completing or in the midst of completing a number of capital projects to accommodate the move to full-day kindergarten.
Those capital projects include 26 modular classrooms at 18 different schools, and 32 new classrooms in six additions at A.J. McLellan in Cloverdale, Hazelgrove Elementary in Clayton, and at Cambridge, Chimney Hill, Hillcrest and T.E. Scott elementary schools.
