Christmas on Location

It sounds like the perfect Christmas musical story line for local TV news junkies (and there are a few of us out there).

Christmas on Location, Johnston Heights Church’s 22nd annual Christmas musical drama, tells the story of a TV reporter on assignment. He’s on location in Dickensburg, located a couple of hours north of Vancouver, to cover the annual Dickens Christmas Fest, on Christmas Eve.

While there, he wrestles with finding joy and peace during the season, despite his own life’s hurts and challenges.

The production features a cast, elaborate staging, plus adult and children’s choirs – accompanied by an orchestra.

The family-friendly show is just the right thing to put audiences in the holiday spirit.

Evening performances are Dec. 7 to 11, at 7:30 p.m., and there are matinees on Dec. 10 and 11, at 3 p.m.

Johnston Heights Church is located on the corner of 96 Avenue and 152 Street, south of Guildford Mall.

Tickets are free (the show is a gift from the church to the community), but bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the church’s food bank. Childcare available for children under three years of age.
