Cloverdale, get ready for the Christmas pageant of your dreams. The Clova Cinema has set a date for its newest digital conversion fundraiser.

On Friday, Dec. 20, the family-owned single screen movie house hosts its first-ever Christmas pageant featuring live performers.

The event includes a silent auction, door prizes and more, making it a great event for the family.

Fifty per cent of the proceeds from the event will go towards the cinema’s digital conversion, with the rest going to a local charity called the People’s Foundation of Sierra Leone, founded by Clova staffer Krissi Bucholtz.

Donations for the Surrey Food Bank will be collected as well.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults (ages 13 and up) and $6 for kids. They’re available at the box office and at the door.

Meanwhile, anyone who wants to donate items for the silent auction or for door prizes, can email clovacinema@telus.net. Volunteers are also needed to help out.
