'Bermuda Avenue' creates comic triangle
What do you get when you cross two old biddies with one charming scoundrel in Las Vegas?
Good question. When two elderly widows – cooped up in a swank retirement condo, thanks to their career-oriented daughters – cross paths with an unlikely interloper, the results rock both their worlds, helping them undergo a grand metamorphosis to glammed-up Golden Girls in the Surrey Little Theatre's winter production, Bermuda Avenue Triangle.
Directed by Rita Price, the cast of performers includes Kate Major, Dr. Laurie Kortschak, Terry Ford, Lisa Beaulieu, Peter Cowhig and Michael Powell.
The play, a comedy by Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna, opens Jan. 24 and runs to Feb. 16 (Thursday to Saturday, at 8 p.m.) at the Surrey Little Theatre at 7027 184 Street. Two Sunday matinees are planned for Feb. 3 and 10.
Tickets are $15. Reservations by calling 604-576-8451 or email reservations@surreylittletheatre.com, or visit www.surreylittletheatre.com.
