Alice Mahon has been well-known in painting circles in the Langley area for more than 40 years.
Her artwork has been displayed at many art shows, and she was a member of numerous painting groups from White Rock and Surrey to Langley.
She was a longtime member of the Port Kells Art Club.
Her artwork was a delight to many people, and her family felt that the best way to celebrate her long and productive life was through a display of her art at the family home in rural Langley.
She passed away in January at the age of 84.
The ‘art in the garden’ celebration of life will take place on what would have been her 85th birthday, Sunday, May 3. Her many friends and people who have enjoyed her artwork are invited to drop by between 12 and 4 p.m. to the Mahon home, located at 24522 32 Avenue.
