Looking to make a difference in the lives of local kids and young people by helping them realize their potential?

The Cloverdale Optimist Club might be for you. The brand-new club is holding an informational meeting Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m., at the Cloverdale Curling Rink, 6150 176 Street. For more information, visit www.optimist.org or contact Annette at 604-469-1514.

Optimist International is an association of more than 2,600 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids." Adult volunteers join Optimist Clubs to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth.
