It took the combined know-how of GWIL Crane Service, PLC Carriers, Ace Pilot Cars and the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society to transport an 84,000-pound freight motor from Abbotsford and lift it onto the tracks at its new home in Cloverdale May 20.

Destined to be a major new attraction at the heritage railway’s passenger operations, BCER 961 served on the original Fraser Valley line through Cloverdale, home to the replica 1910 Cloverdale Station and the society's car barn.

It was sold to Edmonton Transit in 1980.http://webpapersadmin.bcnewsgroup.com/portals/uploads/cloverdale/.DIR288/wFreightMotor-4.jpghttp://webpapersadmin.bcnewsgroup.com/portals/uploads/cloverdale/.DIR288/wFreightMotor-2.jpg
