What to do with that tree
There's one last task for Cloverdale residents as they usher in a new year.
Three local schools are hosting tree chipping events, providing a convenient way to dispose of your Christmas tree, and your empties.
The music department at Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary is holding its annual tree chip and bottle drive Saturday and Sunday at the school parking lot. The school is located at 180 Street and 62 Avenue. By donation.
The students are raising money for a trip to Disneyland to play concerts and record in the Disney Studio.
Clayton Heights Secondary's Dry Grad committee presents its Christmas Tree Chipping and Bottle Drive Saturday, Jan. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. In the parking lot at Clayton Heights Secondary, located at 7003 188 Street. Cost is by donation. Recyclable bottles and cans also accepted.
The Adams Road Elementary PAC hosts its third annual Tree Chipping and Bottle Drive Sunday, Jan. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the school, 18228 68 Avenue. Tree chipping services donated by BC Plant Healthcare.
