Night at the races to help Surrey moms and babies

Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino hosts a special fundraising event Friday night in support of the Tiny Bundles Program at the Surrey Food Bank.

The Race For Babies event includes a buffet dinner, hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment, silent auction and more – including a night of live harness racing.

Tiny Bundles is a nutritional program designed for pregnant moms and families with babies under one year.

The program supplies weekly food hampers containing fresh eggs and milk to pregnant and nursing moms, along with baby formula, diapers, cereal and baby food.

Race for Babies is just one of several charitable events presented as part of We Live Here, We Give Here, a collaborative initiative involving the Surrey Firefighters' Charitable Society, the Surrey Food Bank, and the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation to support local charities.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 25. Tickets are $50, and available by calling 604-576-9141.
