Zookeeping for teens
Here’s something that sounds ideal for teens who like snakes, reptiles, turtles and critters both feathered and furry and are wondering how to turn that interest into a possible career path.
Cinemazoo is offering a junior zookeepers course, a hands-on, eight-week program Sundays starting in October.
The course will cover 25 different subjects relating to zoos, animals, safety, pest control and more.
There will be projects and hands-on animal care experience.
The course begins Oct. 14 for eight weeks, on Sundays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Cinemazoo and Urban Safari Rescue Society at 1395 176 Street in South Surrey.
The cost is $225. The program is for ages 13 to 17.
