Meet the stars of harness racing at Fraser Downs

It's the must-do event on any harness racing fan's calendar – the annual open house at the Backstretch at Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino in Cloverdale.

On Aug. 11, the public is invited to come out for qualifying races and then drop by the open house at the backstretch for barn tours, jogging cart rides around the track, harness demos, craft tables for the kids and lunch.

Admission is free, and the whole family is welcome.

The backstretch opens at 9:30 a.m., and the qualifiers get underway at 10 a.m., followed by barn tours at 10:30 a.m.

The event runs 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Live racing resumes Saturday, Aug. 18. Post time is 12:45 p.m.
