Langley's Township 7 Winery invites you and dad to celebrate Father's Day with a picnic among the vines this Sunday.

Drop by for a picnic or barbecue, plus enjoy kids crafts and family photos in the vineyard, from noon to 4 p.m. – rain or shine.

There will also be live music and an outdoor wine bar at the event, which is in support of the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society, or PADS (meet some of the puppies).

Please RSVP at 604-532-1766.

The tasting room will be open from 11 a.m.to 6 p.m.

It's shaping up to be a busy summer at Township 7. Next up is the Western Roundup Anniversary Party July 14 and 15, a celebration that marks the winery's 12th anniversary – as well as the honour of being chosen the centennial wine for the Calgary Stampede.

There will be live country music daytime performances with  Danny Davies, Roger Schmidt and Lisa Nicole, and evening concerts by Jet Black, Cory Hawthorne, Blake Havard, Trevor Murray, and Todd Richard. (Tickets $20).

The party also features line dancing, a kids' corral with bumper cars, a swing carousel and mini golf, a barbecue and more. Proceeds from that event will help support the Fibromyalgia Well Spring Foundation

Later on in July, the winery presents Broadway in the Vineyard: Musicals for Charity.

Six up and coming music theatre talents from the Vancouver stage present stories, songs and anecdotes from "life upon the wicked stage" July 20-21 and July 27 to 28.

On Aug. 26, the winery hosts Art In the Vines, featuring the work of more than 40 artisans and crafts people, along with live music.

Township 7's wines are handcrafted in small lots in its vineyards in the south Okanagan Valley and in Langley, the location of its Fraser Valley vineyard and wineshop at 21152 16 Avenue.
