Submission guidelines for Writers and Photographers:
The Cloverdale Reporter and Traveling Times accepts articles as long as they are well written. Please advise if photographs are available. Please query first. Please do not send photographs until requested. We do not pay for web submissions at this time. If the article works for our print editions we will contact you to arrange terms. Please ensure your submission is accurate, well researched, and current. Word counts: Counts are strictly adhered to, and should be within 900 to 975 words (web edition) and within 350-650 words (print edition). Word count is the basic story text. Extra, but not considered as story word-count, is the headline, by-line, mini-bio, and sidebar information ("How To"). We prefer stories to be sent as MS Word attachments (Font - Times New Roman-12 pt).Stories should be single spaced. Do not include photos within your MS Word document. Send them apart from the story as attached JPEGS ( when requested). Stories should be copied and pasted directly into your e-mail message (technically called embedding). Photos: (see below). These should not infringe on any restriction or copyright owned by another agency or person. Response Time: We respond to queries within ten days.
